Generate QR codes for free in your browser
Make a QR code for a link, text, Wi-Fi network, email, phone number, or contact card. Add a logo, check that it scans, and save it as PNG, SVG, or a printable card.
How to use QR Code Generator
- Choose what the code is for: URL, Text, Wi-Fi, Email, Phone, or Contact.
- Fill in the fields; the QR code updates as you type and is test-scanned each time.
- Optionally add a logo, then save the code. For a link or Wi-Fi code, open Printable card to save a ready-to-print PDF.
Questions
- How do I make a QR code for my Wi-Fi?
- Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, and pick the security type. Phones that scan the code can join without typing the password.
- How do I make a contact (vCard) QR code?
- Choose Contact and fill in a name or organization plus any of phone, email, website, and note. The code holds a standard vCard 3.0, so scanning it offers to save the contact.
- Can I put my logo in the QR code?
- Yes. Once the code shows, choose Add a logo or drop an image. The logo sits in the centre on a small background square, error correction switches to High so the covered part can be rebuilt, and the code is test-scanned. If the test fails you see a warning; pick a smaller logo size.
- How do I print a Wi-Fi or menu card?
- Make a URL or Wi-Fi code, open Printable card, set a heading and save the PDF. It is a 4 × 6 inch page with the code and the network name or link; the Wi-Fi password is printed only if you tick the box.
- Should I save as PNG or SVG?
- PNG works everywhere. SVG scales to any size without blurring, which is best for print. Switch under More options.
- What does error correction do?
- Higher levels let the code scan even if part of it is smudged or covered, but make the pattern denser. Medium is the default; a code with a logo always uses High.
- Do these QR codes expire?
- No. The content is stored in the code itself, with no redirect service, so it works for as long as the link or details inside it are valid.
- Can I change the colours?
- Yes, under More options. Keep a dark code on a light background; if a colour choice makes the code unreadable, the test scan warns you.
