- Check the print preview (on a phone, tap Preview), then Download PDF, or Sign this invoice to add a signature.
Questions
- Is this invoice generator really free, with no watermark?
- Yes. You can create, download and print as many invoices as you like without an account. The PDF has no watermark or branding of ours.
- Are my invoices uploaded or stored on a server?
- No. The invoice is built in your browser and drafts are saved in this browser's local storage on this device only. Nothing about your business, your clients or your amounts is sent anywhere.
- How are discounts, taxes and rounding calculated?
- Each line is quantity × rate, rounded to the currency's smallest unit (for example cents). The discount, a percentage or a fixed amount, comes off the subtotal first. Each tax is then a percentage of that discounted amount, rounded the same way, and taxes do not compound on each other. Rounding is half away from zero, and all of this uses exact decimal arithmetic, so totals never drift by a cent. The order is also shown next to the totals.
- Does the invoice meet the tax rules in my country?
- This version makes no tax-compliance promise. It lets you add the details most invoices need (your tax or VAT number, the client's details, tax lines and notes), but requirements differ by country and situation, for example sequential numbering, reverse-charge wording or e-invoicing formats. Check what applies to you with your accountant or tax authority.
- Can I save drafts and come back later?
- Yes. Every change is saved automatically on this device. Pick any earlier invoice from the list, duplicate one to bill the same client again, or start a new one with the next number. Because drafts live only in this browser, use Download backup to keep a .json copy or to move invoices to another device, and Import backup to restore them.
- How does the tool remember my business details, and how do I make it forget?
- A new invoice copies your business name, address, logo, currency, paper size, tax lines and notes from your latest invoice on this device. Delete invoices from the list to remove them; when the last one is deleted the tool starts blank. Clearing this site's data in your browser also removes everything.
- Is the text in the PDF selectable?
- Yes. The PDF contains real text, not a picture, so it can be searched, copied and read by accounting software and screen readers. The text is set in Noto Sans, embedded in the PDF, which covers Latin-script languages (including Vietnamese), Greek and Cyrillic, and currency signs such as € £ ₹ ₽ ₺ ₴ ₦ ₩ ₫. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Indic scripts and Thai can't be printed yet: the tool tells you which characters are affected, and a currency whose sign the font lacks, such as the Thai baht, is shown by its code (THB).
- Can I sign the invoice?
- Yes. Click Sign this invoice and the PDF opens in our PDF Signer with the file already loaded, where you can type or draw a signature and place it on the page. It is still processed on your device.
