Is my timestamp in seconds or milliseconds?
The tool detects it from the size of the number: values below 100,000,000,000 are read as seconds, larger ones as milliseconds, microseconds and nanoseconds in steps of 1,000. The detected unit is shown under the field. This is correct for any date between 1973 and 5138.

Use Date to timestamp: pick the date and time, choose whether it is local time or UTC, and copy the result in seconds or milliseconds.
