Free resume builder: make a resume PDF in your browser
Fill in your experience, education and skills, pick a template, and download a PDF with real, selectable text. No sign-up, no watermark, nothing uploaded.
How to use Resume Builder
- Start typing: your contact details, then summary, experience, education and skills. Every change is saved on this device.
- Add a job or degree with Add, and use the arrows to reorder entries or whole sections. Hide a section to leave it out without deleting it.
- Pick a template (Classic, Modern or Compact) and the paper size; your content stays the same when you switch.
- Check the preview (on a phone, tap Preview), then Download PDF. Duplicate the resume to tailor a copy for another job.
Questions
- Is this resume builder really free, with no watermark?
- Yes. You can create, edit and download as many resumes as you like without an account. The PDF has no watermark, logo or branding of ours.
- Is my resume uploaded or stored on a server?
- No. The PDF is built in your browser, and your resumes are saved in this browser's local storage on this device only. Your name, contact details and work history are not sent anywhere.
- Will applicant tracking systems (ATS) be able to read it?
- The templates are single-column with real PDF text in reading order, plain section headings and no images, tables or text boxes, which is what applicant tracking systems read best. You can select and copy every word in the downloaded PDF. No tool can promise how a particular employer's system will score a resume.
- Does changing the template lose anything?
- No. The template only changes the layout: font sizes, headings and spacing. Your content is stored separately, so you can switch between Classic, Modern and Compact as often as you like.
- How are page breaks handled?
- A section heading always stays with the first lines below it. A short job or degree moves to the next page as a whole instead of splitting, a longer one breaks only between bullet points with its title kept above the first point, and a paragraph never leaves a single line on its own. On a resume of more than one page, each page shows your name and the page number.
- Are links in the PDF clickable?
- Yes. Your email, phone number, websites and profiles (such as LinkedIn or GitHub), entry links, and any web address or email you write in the text are clickable in the PDF.
- Can I save several versions and move them to another device?
- Yes. Duplicate a resume to tailor a copy for a different job, and give each a version name. Because resumes live only in this browser, use Download backup to keep a .json copy or move them to another device, and Import backup to restore them.
- Which languages can the PDF show?
- The text is set in Noto Sans, embedded in the PDF, which covers Latin-script languages (including Vietnamese), Greek and Cyrillic. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Indic scripts and Thai can't be printed yet; the tool tells you which characters are affected.
