Questions
How do I compress an image to a specific size, like 200 KB?
Type 200 in Max file size and choose KB. The tool tries qualities up to the one you set and keeps the highest that fits, measuring the actual file each time, so the saved file is never over the limit.
What if the image can't get under the maximum size?
The tool says so and shows the smallest size it could reach. It never resizes or changes the format on its own; instead it offers buttons such as Save as WebP or a smaller longest side, which you can choose if they're acceptable.
Why did my image get bigger?
Re-encoding an already well-compressed file, or keeping a PNG as PNG, can make it larger. The tool tells you when that happens and suggests what to change: WebP instead of PNG, a lower quality, or a smaller size.
Can I compress several images at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like; the same settings apply to each. Every image shows its size before and after and can be saved on its own, and Save all downloads the successful ones as one zip. Any that fail are listed with the reason and left out.
Does it keep transparency?
PNG and WebP keep transparent areas. JPEG has no transparency, so the tool warns you and fills those areas with white.
