Use this when a job form asks for your typing speed in words per minute.
Steps
- Choose 60 s or 120 s; a longer test gives a steadier number.
- Choose Sentences for text with capitals and punctuation, like real writing.
- Take the test a few times to warm up.
- Note your net WPM and accuracy, or save the result card as an image.
Good to know
- Net WPM subtracts the errors you left in. Quote it, not gross WPM, when a form asks for typing speed.
- The result card is a picture of your score, not a certificate. An employer may run its own test.
