Generate a GUID in Braces
Use this when a Windows registry entry, installer or Visual Studio project needs a GUID like {XXXXXXXX-…}.
Steps
- Turn on Uppercase.
- Turn on Braces { }.
- Copy the GUID.
Good to know
- A GUID and a UUID are the same thing; only the formatting differs.
- The format options change how the IDs look, not the IDs themselves.
