Use this when you have a file and are not sure what it is or what to do with it.
Steps
- Choose or drop the file.
- Read the Type it found.
- Pick a suggested tool to open the file in.
Good to know
- Only the first bytes of the file are read, and nothing is uploaded.
- It sorts files into broad kinds (PDF, image, video, audio, JSON or text). It does not name every exact format.
