Find a JSON Syntax Error
Use this when an app, config file or API rejects your JSON and you need to find the mistake.
Steps
- Paste the JSON.
- Read the error: it names the line and column and what was expected there.
- Fix that spot in the box.
- Repeat until it shows Valid JSON.
Good to know
- This checks strict JSON. Comments, trailing commas and single-quoted strings are reported as errors, because JSON does not allow them.
- It shows the first error only; fixing it may reveal the next one.
