Pretty-Print JSON

Use this when JSON arrives as one long line and you need to read it.

Steps
  1. Paste the JSON.
  2. Choose 2 spaces, 4 spaces or Tabs.
  3. Read or copy the formatted JSON.
  4. Save formatted.json if you want a file.
Good to know
  • Formatting changes the spacing and line breaks, not the data.
  • In current Chrome and Edge, numbers are kept exactly as written; in other browsers very long numbers may be rounded.
