Find the BPM of a Song With Tap Tempo
Use this when you want to play along with a recording and need to know its tempo in beats per minute.
Steps
- Play the song.
- Press Tap tempo, or the T key, on every beat, for several beats in a row.
- Read the BPM, then fine-tune it with the arrow keys or the + and − buttons.
- Press Start to practise along at that tempo.
Good to know
- The tempo is the average of your last six taps. A pause of two seconds starts a new count.
- If the result is half or double what you expect, you tapped every other beat or twice per beat.
