UK Passport Photo, 35 × 45 mm
Use this when you renew or apply for a UK passport and want to prepare the photo yourself.
Steps
- Choose a recent photo of your face against a plain, light background.
- Choose UK passport (35 × 45 mm, print and digital) under Document.
- Move and zoom until your head fits between the head guides.
- For an online application, save the digital photo.
- For a paper form, save the 4 × 6 in sheet and print it at 100 % (Actual size).
Good to know
- GOV.UK asks for digital photos taken in the last month. The tool cannot check that, and it cannot promise the photo will be accepted.
- The background is not changed or removed.
