Convert an Image to a Base64 Data URL
Use this when you want to embed a small image directly in HTML, CSS or an email template.
Steps
- Choose or drop the image file.
- Keep Data URL selected.
- Copy the data URL.
- Paste it into src="…" in HTML or url(…) in CSS.
Good to know
- Base64 makes the data about a third larger than the original file, so this suits small images like icons.
- Choose Base64 only if you need the encoded bytes without the data: prefix.
- The image is encoded as it is; it is not resized or compressed.
