Resize a Signature to 10–20 KB for SSC
Use this when an SSC application, such as CGL or CHSL, rejects your signature because the scan or phone photo is too large.
Steps
- Sign in black ink on plain white paper, photograph or scan it, and crop close around the signature.
- Choose the image. The SSC rules, JPG at most 20 KB, are already filled in.
- Press Fix it, then read the second check of the new file.
- Check that the saved file is at least 10 KB, then upload it.
Good to know
- SSC asks for 10 to 20 KB and a signature about 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm tall. The tool checks the 20 KB limit but not the 10 KB minimum or the shape; a fixed file under 10 KB means the picture was too small, so take a larger, sharper one.
- These rules are from the SSC CGL 2026 and CHSL 2026 notices. SSC captures your photo live in the form, so only the signature is uploaded. Rules change between exams, so check the notice for yours; passing here cannot promise SSC will accept the file.
